Thane: Thane Municipal Corporation on Saturday announced that Lake City was ready to face 24-hour water cuts on July 6, Tuesday.
According to the Civic Agency, the water supply in the city will remain suspended from 9am on July 6 to 9 on July 7, because projects are ongoing and smart projects in the Kopri area.
The area to be affected because of water cutting is Ramnagar, Chendni Koliwada, Naru Paranjape Colony, Subhash Nagar, Anand Bharti Marg, Kumbharwada, Savarkar Nagar, Swami Samarth Math Premises, Valmiki and Shamdan.
The Civic’s body also states that because of shutdown, the water supply is likely to be maintained at low pressure for the next few days until the previous level is restored.
“Thus, the city may receive less water in the next 1-2 days,” TMC said.
Officials also asked residents from Thane to keep the amount of adequate water stored to avoid discomfort.
“Please save enough water and work with TMC to complete work faster and more efficiently,” said the Civic body.
