Thane: Two robbers are arrested for allegedly attacking and robbing a 22-year-old driver and leaving him injured on the Live Strip near the Mumbra Railway Station on Sunday night, train police officials get informed.
According to the Mumbai train police, Nilesh Dhindale, a resident of Diva, has parked his vehicle in Mumbra according to his daily schedule and is on his way home on Sunday midnight.
“He walked down the direction of slow tracks to reach the Mumbra 1 platform and take the train for the diva when accused of being identified as Mohd Rafiq Shaikh (22) and Irfan Salim Khan (36), both the Mumbra residents, who roamed near him, greeted him,” said he said A police officer.
According to the victim’s complaint, the duo attacked him and grabbed his money and his cellphone and pushed it on the railroad.
Fortunately, because there wasn’t much railroad traffic on a busy stretch, the injured managed to get up and approach the police and register complaints.
Based on his complaint, the Thane train police registered a case below section 394 and 34 IPC and began their investigation and based on tip-off, capturing the duo from their hiding place in Mumbra on Sunday night.
