BADLAPUR: A two-wheeler rider was seriously injured while the pillion rider suffered minor injuries after a tree while being cutting by a housing society fell on them in Badlapur.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon when the motorcycle rider Rashid Mulla and his friend were going towards Belavali area for some work when near Manav housing society, suddenly a tree fell on their motorcycle.
In the mishap, Mulla has suffered serious head injuries and has been rushed to a Mumbai-based private hospital.
His friend has suffered minor injuries.
Following the incident, the local Badlapur West police have registered an FIR against a society member and the a person who was the cutting tree without taking safety measures.
