Kalyan: A woman who was allegedly tried to squeeze Rs 1.50 lakh from the developer from Kalyan, Sanjay Gaikwad, was arrested by red and arrested, police said.
Gaikwad, who is also the leader of Sena Shiv, said that the woman, for the past two years, threatened to submit a case of fake rape against her and had extorted Crores, took two flats, cars and gold from her.
The police said that the woman in the past submitted two rape cases against different people and had quit their work with the State Department of Transportation when she began making “big money to squeeze from Gaikwad”.
The police were looking for his brother who fled when the trap was laid for both on Thursday to catch them to receive Rs 1.50 lakh.
When he continued to harass him, Gaikwad approached the police.
