New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday thanked Indian doctors to save Lakh Life during Covid’s pandemic.
In the address broadcast on television on the day of national doctors, the Prime Minister said, “The service provided by the doctor in the past and a half was exemplary; I thank them on the name of the 130 Crore India.” He urged doctors to conduct research, documentation of the benefits of vaccines, early diagnosis, specific care.
The prime minister told that the budget allocation for the health sector has doubled more than Rs 2 Lakh Crore.
RS 50,000 crores credit assurance scheme has been approved for areas with lack of health infrastructure.
Modi stated that the Indian health care system was able to remain stable during the Covid pandemic, compared to several developed countries.
People from medical brotherhood are now advancing to promote yoga, the prime minister said.
Many modern medical scientific institutions are conducting a study of how yoga helps in fighting post-covid complications, he added.
