That year is: bitter-sweet dating with a chaotic year

In the year Amarendra Dasthe was for the late fear of towering Covid another surge, because the omicron variant, with the government brought restrictions on major meetings.
At the same time, political weather was heating up for Panchayat elections, most likely in February.
But before we look forward, let’s look at the year passed, from a political and economic point of view.
It began with the government stating that it would change the SCB Medical College and hospital, Cuttack, became a world-class institution.
The next up was an economic survey, presented in February, reported a 6.2% contraction in state output.
Strangely, the agriculture and the ally sector reported almost seven per percent contraction.
Although the finance minister previously said the government would spend a 1.5 lakh crore Hospital for 2020-21, it finally spent RS 15,000 crore less than allocated amounts.
Apart from this, the Minister of Finance was intended by Rs 1.7 Crore Lakh for 2021-22 fiscal.
According to monthly data presented by CAG, the state witnessed a significant increase in income collection, until October, compared to the last fiscal.
However, regardless of relatively high income mobilization, the country spends only 40.58% of the budgeted amount from Rs 1.7 Crore Lakh.
In March, the second wave of Covid-19 had hit the entire country.
The controversy surrounding Covid’s death actually raised political temperatures during the summer.
The amount of cremation in the crematorium from twin cities did not match the death toll of Covid was announced by the government.
This animal feed provided for opposition leaders accused the government of Covid death under-reporting.
Unlike some other countries, Odisha does not come with revised data from death caused by Covid.
The silence of the Minister regarding this also caused criticism from the legislators from his own party.
In June, Niti Ayog’s rating was inserted by Odisha in 8 places from the bottom in the sustainable development destination index.
The performance of the state in poverty, hunger, gender equality, quality education, decent work and the category remains gloomy.
In November, Niti Ayog released a multidimensional poverty index, placing Odisha in the ninth place from below.
This little improvement shows in the states of the overall ranking in poverty.
However, the concentration of poverty in tribal districts is dominated by implicitly the market failure of the growth benefits of the country’s interior.
Odisha must experience progress, both in terms of economic growth and poverty reduction.
This growth is mainly driven by the mining and metal industry.
But in terms of distribution the benefits of growth, performance is not satisfactory.
State focus remains on the provision of subsistence to the poor and win their voices.
Even in terms of preparing a country for long-term sustainable development, effort is not enough.
A large number of vacancies in health and education institutions will have severe consequences in the long run.
Opposition in the country remains weak.
Both Congress and BJP have failed to mobilize the people to state failure.
In order to divert public attention from the main controversial issues, the government used defense to establish an investigation commission.
Most commissions also do not submit reports or reports that have never been taken to public notifications.
Naveen’s biggest asset has its clean image.
But Biju Janata Dal – gradually became a one-man show.
The legislators from his party remained safe as he brought a number of new faces in each election.
Last but not least, the closing of the legislature assembly a lot before the scheduled time and high voltage of political drama in the DPR by the two ruling parties and opposition is not a good sign for the country in the future.
