Gandhinagar / New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi inaugurated a number of projects in Gujarat, including the Vadnagar train station that can be built through a video link on Friday where he used to sell tea during his childhood.
PM said the train was not only for people transportation and shipping but this could be the center of economic activity, indicating the government’s focus on rebuilding stations.
“Today, Vadnagar is also associated with train expansion work.
Many memories are associated with Vadnagar Station.
It looks very interesting now,” said PM at the train station in his hometown.
In the sweeping changes that have been brought in the train sector and the need for more, PM said, “We have worked to develop trains not only as a service but as an asset.” He said there was a need to develop the train vertically as there was a need to spread its reach horizontally.
By stating that the needs of the 21st century India would not be fulfilled in the ways of the 20th century, he quoted the need for reforms on the train after inaugurating a five-star hotel on Gandhinagar station that developed again.
He said this project reflected changes in the mindset of Indian infrastructure.
