Rajkot: A 22-year-old girl from Rajkot returned from London through Abu Dhabi who was positively tested for the Omicron variant of Covid-19 on Friday.
According to the Health Department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC), students landed at Ahmedabad airport on December 21.
The girl was asymptomatic but the test was carried out at the airport when she came from a risky country to reveal it as covid.
He was sent in isolation.
After the report for the Omicron variant became positive, the girl insisted on going to Rajkot, and she shifted to the Rajkot civil hospital on Friday night where the condition was stable.
This is the second person in the city to test the positive variant.
The results of 40 samples from Rajkot sent for genome sequencing are still delayed.
Meanwhile, 15 people tested positive Covid-19 in Rajkot on Saturday, of which 13 came from the city of Rajkot only.
