New Delhi: The average daily vaccination increased significantly in December to 78.66 lakh doses per day – up from 59.32 lakh doses in November and 55.77 lakh doses per day in October.
The increase was mainly driven by the second-expanded dose coverage and the launch of the government door-to-door door vaccination campaign.
More than 7 crore doses have been given for the first 10 days of December so far, while a total of 17.79 crore doses are given during November.
After a large ramp-up in the first dose coverage in September, vaccination dropped significantly during October and November after the celebration and fell in the Covid case.
Many people are late for their second dose.
This prompted the government to launch a ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign in November.
Furthermore, the average daily vaccination in December rose to the September level when an average of 78.69 doses of lakh were given per day.
A total of 23.60 doses of crore were given in September throughout the country.
A total of 131.98 doses of anti-covid crore jab managed in the country until 9:30 a.m.
on Friday.
With this more than 86% of adult populations have received at least the first dose of vaccines, while 53.5% are fully vaccinated with both doses.
“We returned to a very high track.
Vaccination receipts are very high …,” said members of Niti Aayog (Health) from VK Paul.
