India on Thursday only became the third country to report more than 4 lakh Death Covid after the US and Brazil.
Apart from this, Mexico is the only other country that enrolled more than 2 lakh death.
There are ten countries where more than one lakh people have given up on covid or related complications.
With 6 lakh death, the US was at the top of this list and was attended by Brazil (5.2 lakh), India (4.0 Lakh), Mexico (2.3 lakh) and Peru with the death of 1.9 lakh.
The other with the death toll of five points is Russia, England, Italy, France and Colombia.
Among these countries, the death of India per million population has so far the lowest in 287.
It is 916 in Russia and between 1,000 and 2,000 for France, Mexico, USA and the UK.
Among these countries, the highest ratio for Peru, which has seen 5,765 deaths for every million inhabitants.
For Colombia, Italy and Brazil, three other countries have seen Lakh’s death so far, the ratio of deaths per million more than 2,000 but less than 3,000.
The fatality rate of the Indian case (death per 100 infection) is 1.3, which is again the lowest among these countries.
When compared to other major Asian countries (both economics and population) and their environment, however, the ratio of death per million India is the highest.
Except for Nepal, which has seen 308 deaths per million inhabitants, most of these countries have a lower ratio than India.
The Philippines and Indonesia are the only other countries where this ratio exceeds 200.
The ratio is 160 for Malaysia, 143 for Sri Lanka and 122 for Afghanistan.
It’s less than 100 for Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand.
In the case of mortality, India is better than most of these countries, but Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malaysia are even lower CFR.
The latest data from the Covid Dashboard of the University of Johns Hopkins and the UN population estimates that 2021 shows that among 121 countries with a population of more than 5 million, there are 54 which reported higher deaths compared to India.
This ratio is lower than India for 66 of these countries.
