Ghaziabad: Amid omicron fear, the Ministry of Health has established a four member committee to examine 11 oxygen factories recently installed in nine government hospitals in the district.
The panel will also examine 650 oxygen concentrators established in various hospitals, public health centers and primary health centers.
Although there are no cases of omicrons that have been reported in the district so far, at least two fresh Covid cases are reported on Monday.
The district currently has five active infection cases.

RK Gupta District Surveillance, which is part of the committee, said, “The Committee has been formed to review and monitor all oxygen plants installed in this district.
Committee members, including additional medical officers, an anesthetic and technical experts, will visit All hospitals and examine oxygen plants.
If there is a defect found in any factory, it will immediately fix it.
“DSO said all government hospitals in this district, where oxygen plants are available, can be converted into a dedicated Covid Hospital if the Omicron case Increasing rapidly in the district and patients need hospitalization and oxygen.
At present, Santosh Hospital and Joint-District Hospital have been identified as Covid facilities.
During the second wave of pandemic, the patient must face many problems because of the acute shortage of hospital beds and oxygen supply.
Furthermore, 11 oxygen factories installed in nine hospitals including four CHC in Dasna, Muradnagar, Modinagar and Loni.
Other plants are installed in the MMG District Hospital, District Women’s Hospital, Joint District Hospital and Esic Hospital.
Apart from this, an oxygen plant is also installed in the BHOJPUR primary health center.
Recently, district judges have directed the electricity department to increase hospital load capacity so that oxygen plants do not stumble or break.
