Coimbatore: The body that decomposes from a woman was found in a lodge in Cross Cut Road 5th Street in the city on Sunday.
Girlfriend, found in a puddle of blood with a throat gap, was treated at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
Mustafa, 58, and Bindu, 46, both Kozhikode residents, Kerala, took a room in the cottage a few days ago.
On Sunday afternoon, bad smell comes from the room and the door locked from inside.
The cottage staff knocked on the door and there was no answer.
Soon, they broke the room and found Bindhu’s decomposed body.
Mustafa was found with an injury to his neck and hands.
He has tried to commit suicide.
The police found rat poison in the room.
The cottage staff told the Kattoor police who sent Mustafa to CMCH for care, where he fought a lifetime.
The body is sent to CMCH for postmortem.
The reason for Bindhu’s death has not been confirmed.
Personal requests reveal that Bindhu has an extramarital affair with Mustafa.
On July 26, both of them took rooms in the cottage who registered as husband and wife.
The Kattoor police registered a case and further investigation.
Meanwhile, Bindhu Vinodh’s husband filed a complaint with Kozhikode police to track his wife.
