New Delhi: The fourth edition of the JEE (Main) entrance examination has been postponed until August 26 to September 2 to provide a four-week gap candidate between two exam sessions.
The fourth edition of Jee (Main) was previously scheduled to be held from July 27 to August 2, only two days after the third edition ended leading to the candidate demanding the gap between the two examinations.
Announced a decision, Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday Tweeted, “Given the continuous demand from the community community and to enable candidates to maximize their performance, the national testing body has been recommended to provide a four-week gap between the three sessions and four jee exams (playing ) 2021.
“Therefore, Jee (Main), 2021, the four session will now be held on August 26, 27 and 31, and on September 1 and 2.
A total of 7.32 Lakh candidates have been registered for Jee (Main), 2021, Session four, “said Pradhan.
Registration for a four session is still in the process and the registration date will be extended until July 20.” To overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of cities has increased from 232 to 334.
The number of inspection centers in each shift will also increase from 660 to 828, “said Sadhana ParaAshar, Senior Director, NTA.
The Ministry of Education has announced last week that the edition was delayed (third and fourth) Jee-Main Kan was carried out from July 20-25 and 27 July to 2 August.
