The 4th panel is set to implement clauses 6 of Assam Accord

Guwahati: The Government of Assam has established another committee, the fourth in 36 years, to encourage the implementation of clauses in the ASSAM Agreement in 1985 who promised to “protect, preserve and promote culture, linguistic identity and the legacy of Assam people” and update NRC which awaits approval from the Court Great.
The new committee eight members will specifically prepare a framework for the implementation of recommendations provided by the panel established by MHA for the implementation of clauses 6 of the agreement relating to protecting the identity of cultural, social and linguistics and indigenous peoples, which are submitted to the state government of the state last year .
According to the notification issued by the Commissioner and Secretary of the Implementation of the Assam Accord Department, G D Tripathi, the Committee will submit a report in the next three months.
Notifications state that the sub-committee will “examine and prepare a framework for the implementation of all Accord Assam clauses in general with special emphasis on clause-6 (high-level committe reports).” The Sub-Committee will also provide “special emphasis on the implementation of clauses 7, 9 and 10 along with renewal of national lists of citizens, flood and erosion problems, the rehabilitation of the martyr and victims of Assam agitation.” In addition, the sub-committee will consider various problems faced by the state and the potential for the economic development of the versatile while preparing a report for the implementation of the historic pact.
The eight member sub-committee was led by the implementation of Accord Minister Assam Atul Bora.
There are also two other ministers in the Committee – Minister of Parliament Pijush Hazarika and Minister of Finance Ajanta Neog – In addition to five members of Aasu.
