City: Three workers suffered severe burns while someone was feared buried under the heated ash after around 28 Hooper handling ash from the 250-megawatt unit of the Chhabra thermal power plant which collapsed in Motipura in Bapcha on Thursday.
The workers worked under it around 1am at night intervention Wednesday and Thursday.
Excess ash (is likely to be around 40 tons) at the factory because of excessive round power production amid high-pitched electricity demand in the state, it is believed to be the reason behind the collapse.
However, the thermal factory authority claims the reason has not been ascertained as an operation to save workers being carried out by SDRF and NDRF.
Meanwhile, the three who were injured were under care at the BARAN District Hospital.
