The Act Campaign of the Indian Hockey Team ended because of Covid Case In Squad

Donghae (South Korea): The Indian Women’s Hockey Team on Thursday was forced to leave the ongoing Asian championship trophy after one of his players was tested positive for Covid-19, joining Malaysia which was also forced to be withdrawn by the feared virus here.
The day after the match cancellation against defending champions in Korea and China, the source of the Asian Hockey Federation told PTI that the Indian team was no longer competitive in the event.
The current side in quarantine and the identity of the player who has been tested positive has not been revealed.
“India’s last edition runner-up came out of the tournament because of a positive case in the squad.
India will no longer participate further in the tournament,” said AHF source.
While India is scheduled to host Korea on Wednesday, they are scheduled to meet China on Thursday.
“With the health and safety of the most important players, the match of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team against China on December 9 will not take place,” Indian Hockey has tweeted on Wednesday.
Pandemic has thrown his shadow in the tournament on Monday itself when the second match of India against Malaysia was canceled due to a problem related to Covid.
Malaysia was finally forced out after one of his players, Nurul Faezah Shafiqah Khalim, was tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival.
India had previously struggled 3-0 Thailand 3-0 with Drag-Flicker Gurjit Kaur scored five goals.
India is the highest ranked team that takes part when they sit ninth in the rank of women of the International Hockey Federation.
The Asian Champions Cup of Women was originally scheduled for 2020 but was postponed several times due to Covid-19 pandemic.
