Thiruvananthapuram: The government has formulated an action plan to simplify the procedure to provide more than a dozen consumer services as part of increasing the ease of doing business (EODB) in the electricity sector.
Simplified procedures will benefit consumers from the domestic category to industrial and commercial industries.
As part of change, KSEB will no longer reduce the certificate of ownership from the LSGI / Income Office to establish ownership of residential / construction of customers who submit new connections or changes in consumer names.
Or, KSEB will now accept the deed of building / apartment sales or evidence of other alternative identities to utilize services.
This change will be beneficial for those who live in apartments.
According to the changes applied, service connections for industrial consumers / HT / EHT will be given based on the ‘effort’ submitted along with the application.
This is a substitute for service connection agreements.
