The Afghan crisis shows the importance of CAA in India, said BJP Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad: The Afghan crisis has shown the importance of the citizenship amendment law (CAA) in this country, said the leader of the Bharatiya Janata N Ramchander Rao on Monday.
Speaking to Ani, Rao said that religious persecution of Hindus and Sikh in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan had forced them to leave their homes.
“They have to leave their homes.
Where did they go if it wasn’t India? Seeing the situation in Afghanistan, we can see how important caa for our country,” he said.
“People in India will now realize that the steps taken by the government will help all these Hindus and Sikh who are thrown away from Afghanistan,” he added.
He later stated that the government would ensure to evacuate all Indians who were stranded in Afghanistan.
Rao’s statement about CAA came behind Tweet Minister Union Hardeep Singh Puri before on Sunday.
Sharing news articles, Singh has tweeted, “the latest developments in our turbulent environment and the way Sikh and Hinduism experience a terrible time is why it is necessary to enact the citizenship amendment law.” With the Taliban took over Afghanistan, countries rushed to evacuate their citizens from a torn war.
CAA allows minorities persecuted by Hinduism, Sikh, Jain, Buddhism, PARSI, and Christians from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan to utilize Indian citizenship.
According to the provisions of actions, people who are included in these communities who arrived in India until December 31, 2014, because religious persecution in all three countries will not be treated as illegal migrants but will be given Indian citizenship.
Opposition parties and several groups have protested the application of CAA and said that the law coupled with national registers, residents’ training (NRC) targets minorities in India.
