The Afghan government executes three phase plans to defeat the Taliban

KABUL: The Afghan government has implemented a three-phase plan to defeat the Taliban in the country when the battle increased in the past few days and terror groups arrested the nine provincial capitals in Afghanistan.
Afghan Interior Minister, Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal, who took over the police of 1,30,000 strong people in the country five weeks ago, on Tuesday said, “We work in three phases.
The first is to stop the defeat (from government forces), The second is to collect our troops to create a security ring around the cities.
The third is starting an offensive operation.
At present, we move to the second phase, “Al Jazeera reported.
The Minister also said that the government provided support for local voluntary militias known as the rebellion movement to overcome the attack of Taliban in many regions.
When the terror group caught nine provincial capitals in the country in the past few days, the Afghanistan government now focuses on securing the main infrastructure as the main highway, major cities, and border crossings in an effort to stop the Taliban from capturing other cities.
“The rebellious forces have announced their full support for the President and the government.
They will be against the Taliban along with government forces.
There are concerns from the international community about the power of this rebellion today but all their members will eventually join the National Afghanistan.
Security forces,” said Al-Jazeera quoted Mirzakwal.
On Wednesday, President of Ashraf Ghani appointed a new head of the Army staff in an effort to give a strong response to the terror group in the field.
Haibatullah Alizai replaced Wali Mohammad Ahmadzai, as the new Army Chief of Staff.
Alizai previously worked as a commander of the Afghan National Army Command.
