Rajkot: The couple from Ahmedabad died in an accident on the road at the Ahmedabad-Dhrangadhra Highway near Halvad on Tuesday late at night.
The driver of the vehicle where the Shamji tank that has died (55) and his wife Jikuben Tank (48) traveled suffered a critical and medium injury in treatment.
According to the police, the car first collided with a road divider before it was upside down.
Shamji and Jikuben died in a while the driver of Anirudhisinh Dodia suffered an injury.
The police suspected that the driver of the car might fall asleep caused the accident.
Dodia was first taken to a hospital in Halvad City and then he was referred to a government hospital in Surdendranagar for further treatment.
