The air changes ‘moderate’ after ‘poor’ two days

Gurgaon: City air improves on Friday with an air quality index recorded in the ‘moderate’ category (164).
The last two days, the index was in the ‘poor’ category.
According to IMD, the direction of the wind has changed from northwest to southwest, which leads to improving air quality.
“We witnessed the southwest wind movement in this region and this will apply for the next two days.
So, this region will not witness the ‘severe’ Aqi this October.
However, air quality can be dipped from the first week of November,” said Meteorology Navdeep Dahiya .
Teri Gram Station recorded AQI 206, in Sector 51 was 232, 132 in Gwaldahari and 95 in Vikash Sadan on Friday, which was a significant increase from the previous day.
Gland Pahian was recorded in 151.
Teri Gram and Sector 51 stations were recorded at 247 both, in Vikash Sadan Data was not enough.
Meanwhile, when the winter season is located, the Center for Science and Environment (CSE) has analyzed air quality trends so far in Delhi-NCR.
Anumite Roychowdhury, Executive Director, Research and Advocacy, CSE, said, “Delhi and a larger area will need an urgent action to prevent severe smoke episodes and accelerate deeper reforms to maintain profits.
Reduce traffic volume, eliminate the burning of waste, eliminate Gross industrial fuel, and apply strict dust control measures, especially in the construction sector.
Acting now, and acting decisively.
“Analysis includes 156 sustainable ambient air quality monitoring stations (CAAQMS) spread in 67 cities in Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal.
“This winter may get a severe peak in smog, because the number of agricultural fires may be more concentrated because of the delayed effects of rain,” said Avical Somvanshi, program manager in an analytical lab urban data in CSE ..
