Ghaziabad: Air quality increased significantly in Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida on Tuesday with AQIS recorded in the ‘poor’ and ‘moderate’ category.
In 174, Greater Noida recorded the best air quality index in the ‘moderate’ category, down from ‘very poor’ at 300 points (on a scale of 500) recorded a day again.
While overall AQIS in Ghaziabad (235) and Noida (212) remained in the ‘poor’ category, it was better than 293 and 317 (‘very poor’), respectively, recorded on Monday.
According to the control board of the Pollution Center, the air quality in the region in the first week of December this year was also better than in 2020.
Between December 1 last year, the average AQI Ghaziabad was recorded at 423, which was under the ‘severe’ category.
Aqi City is above 400 for at least six days in the appropriate period.
This year, the average Aqi Ghaziabad in this period was established in 317 without ‘severe’ air day.
In Greater Noida and Noida, the average Aqi in the first week of December last year was 399 and 396.
This year, both cities have seen better days at 295 and 321, respectively.
According to the air quality system and weather forecasting and research (Safar), the wind speed is likely to remain moderate for the next four days, which will allow more ventilation pollutants.
The minimum temperature also tends to fall gradually leading to a more stable layer at night and with most of the clear sky conditions during the day, the height of the peak mixing layer is likely to be moderate, which will allow mixing more vertical air mass and improving air quality Overall gradually.
