Noida / Ghaziabad: With a 428 air quality index in the ‘Severe’ category, Ghaziabad once again became the most polluted city in the country on Wednesday.
However, air quality has increased with several levels compared to Tuesday when the city recorded AQI of 451.
Loni was the worst performing area because the pollution monitoring station recorded AQI 457 on Wednesday, followed by AQI with AQI from 433, Indirapuram with AQI 407 and Vasundhara with Aqi 405.
Meanwhile, air quality in Greater Noida and Noida showed a real increase on Wednesday, compared to Tuesday.
Noida recorded AQI 374 in the ‘very poor’ category, down from 426 in the ‘Severe’ category on Tuesday.
Greater Noida on Wednesday recording AQI 378, down from 412 on Tuesday.
In Greater Noida, Monitoring Station at Knowledge Park 3 recorded AQI 356 while Park 5 Registered Knowledge AQI 396.
Of the four monitoring stations in Noida, Sector 125 recorded AQI 373 and Sector 1 had AQI 365.
Meanwhile, sector 116 recorded the highest AQI 387.
Data in the 62 sector was not enough to calculate AQI.
According to the air quality system and weather forecasting and research (Safar), wind tends to take speed in the next two days.
This wind direction will be profitable to transport pollutants because the stump burns to Delhi-NCR.
Fire count, meanwhile, also increased.
Air quality can deteriorate in the next two days.
However, AQI will remain at the top end of the ‘very poor’ category or reach the lower end of the ‘heavy category’.
