New Delhi: The Civil Service Ministry on Monday gives conditional permits to 10 organizations, including Mahindra and Mahindra, Indian Steel Authority (Sail) and Bayer Crop Science, to use drones for various purposes.
In a statement, the Ministry said the Karnataka government was one of 10 organizations and had received permission to conduct “drone-based air surveys to make notes for ownership of urban property in Bengaluru”.
Mahindra and Mahindra have received permission to conduct “drone-based agricultural trials” and use drones for precision spraying on rice and heat in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, mentioned.
Two organizations – Aviation Blue Ray based in Gujarat and the Asia Pacific training academy based in Telangana – have been allowed to conduct “remote pilot training using drones”, the ministry statement noted.
Bayer Crop Science has received permission to conduct “drone-based agricultural research activities” and use drones for spraying agriculture, mentioned.
The national health mission in Mumbai also received permission to conduct an experimental flight of BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight) to provide important health care goods in the Jawhar tribe in Maharashtra Palghar.
Gangtok Smart City Development has received permission for drone-based air surveys for the smart city project, the ministry statement mentioned.
Said the screen has received permission to use drones to conduct “perimeter supervision” steel plants in Burnpur, West Bengal.
Chennai-based tractors and agricultural equipment have received permission to do “drone-based air spray” to assess plant health and prevent harvest disease.
The ministry said the Institute of Tropical Indian Meteorology Based Pune to conduct atmospheric research in five different locations in the country.
The ministry said it has provided parole to the 10 organizations mentioned above from the rules of an unmanned aircraft (UAS), 2021, and it applies to a period of one year from the date of approval or up to further orders’.
