Sindri: Dhanbad police have arrested the Ambulance driver Sanjay Das, who allegedly raped a woman who was challenged mentally and blindly admitted that the women’s treatment ward from Snmmch on Sunday night.
SP (Dhanbad City) R Ramkumar said the defendant was arrested on Monday night and sent to durable on Tuesday.
He said the police took support from the Lopamudra advocate counselor to speak safely.
Based on their conversation, the police confirmed that the woman was raped and submitted a case based on complaints submitted by Pawan Kumar Choudhary Police Inspector.
Furthermore Ramkumar said the watershed was arrested from the Bhuli area from where he tried to escape with his ambulance.
SP said the watershed acknowledged his crime to the police and released the owner of the tea joint, which was previously considered a watershed hand, because his involvement in the crime could not be established.
Previously, SNMMCH management had launched an internal investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, Dhanbad ADM (Law and order) Kumar Tarachand, SDO Surendra Prasad and ASP (Law and Order) Manoj Swarigiyari reviewed the security measure of SNMMCH on Tuesday and held a long parley with medical college management, to compile ways and facilities to prevent incidents like that in the future.
Trachaand has recommended an increase in the number of housekeepers to representatives to SNMMCH from 30 to 50 which are tasks.
Management of medical colleges has been reportedly also directed to stop the entry of unwanted people, including brokers of drug store owners, pathology, and radiological centers and ambulance drivers, in the ward.
