The application to stop theft in a locked house launched

Coimbatore: Coimbatore rustic police on Friday launched a mobile application called ‘Sako’ (Safe Kovai) to prevent burglary in locked homes.
People in the Coimbatore district can download the mobile app from the Play Store and upload the details and photos of their locked homes.
Each police station will receive information through the mobile app and will cover the area, where the locked house is located, during the day and night patrol to prevent a break-in house.
Technology-based initiatives were taken by Coimbatore District Police and had been carried out by Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Vattamalapalayam.
Police supervisor S Selvanagarathinam launched the application.
Overcoming reporters, Selvanagarathinam said more than 20 lakh people who lived at the Coimbatore district police limit and police patrol can collect a maximum of 300 -350 locked house details “346 thefts including burglary houses and commercial stores have been reported from 2019 until now.
In more than 90 % Case, we have not received a locked detail of houses from their respective occupants, “he said.
“People can download the mobile application from the Play Store.
They must register their cellphone number and they will get a one-time password (OTP).
Then, they can provide their address and details in the mobile application and must mention the details of their absence.

The district police control room will receive a message and it will be sent to each police station.
The police will be given a tablet with an internet connection, and they will go to the place and verify the details.
After that, the police Patrolling on the day and night will visit their own location and click on the photos of the house and will upload it in the application.
So, a locked home occupant can monitor details from anywhere, “said Selvanagarathinam.
He added that at this time, those who use Android devices can download the application.
This will be available for Apple (iOS) devices in a week.
Cellular applications are available in English and will soon include the Tamil version.
District police also provide other choices to residents to protect their homes from home burglary.
“We have roamed several private companies to provide CCTV and alarm devices based on rent.
People can approach the company through the district police control room and the company will install 4 CCTV cameras, 4 g connectivity, UPS facilities in a locked house.
The company will impose The cost of Rs 900 per day and residents must use facilities for at least five days.
Residents can also monitor CCTV through their cellphones too, “said SP Selvanagarathinam.
Private companies also provide alarm devices.
Residents can rent alarm devices for at least five days.
Four sensors, including motion sensors, will be repaired at the door, bureau and other vital areas at home.
Every time someone tries to go home, the sensor will send a warning to four cellphone numbers.
Private companies charge Rs 450 per day.
