Alcaniz, Spain: The Argentine MotoGP will not be held for the second year that runs because of complications arising from the Pandemic Covid-19, the committee announced on Saturday.
His absence meant the 2021 championship was reduced to 18 races.
A joint statement from the motorcycle government agency, The FIM and promoter Dorna confirmed the Grand Prix at the Termas de Rio Honda circuit, which was not repaired, starting because of “Force Majeure”.
“This event was previously postponed, but the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, logistical restrictions and infrastructure damage had been forced to be canceled,” the statement explained.
Argentina is one of the few races that will be called last year because of the pandemic but the organizer said they were looking to return in 2022.
There were six races of campaigns to leave, with Honda Rider France Fabio Quartaro lead the driver in front of the Aragon MotoGP Sunday.
Then follow the two visits to the Marco Simoncelli Circuit in Misano sandwiched on both sides of the Grand Prix Americas, the Algarve Grand Prix with the season ended in Valencia on November 14.
