Chennai: The arrival of flights had been suspended at Chennai Airport until 6 pm on Thursday due to Crosswinds.
However, departure will continue.
Previously, around 10 arrivals and 10 departures were postponed and four flights were diverted to Bengaluru and Hyderabad because of heavy rain.
One flight from Mumbai and Kolkata was diverted to Hyderabad while one from Trichy and the others from Delhi were diverted to Bengaluru.
Some departures have been postponed later that day.
An airport official said aviation operations were above and that there was no interference.
