Guwahati: The Assam Pradesh (PCC) Congress Committee has served the notification of showing off in 212 party workers, including several leaders, allegedly found to indulge in anti-party activities in the latest assembly elections.
PCC has accused that former lawmakers, former MLAS, AICC and Assam PCC, district and members of the block committee work back the interests of Congress candidates.
Leaders who do not get tickets for contests issue their anger in selected candidates and helped directly or indirectly, rival candidates to win.
Reportedly, 15 District Congress Committees have filed their complaints with documentary evidence.
Assam PCC is a high-level investigation committee to see this problem.
“In notification of the show, the recipient has been asked to reply to justify what they have done, highlighting the cause of why disciplinary actions should not be done against them by the committee within 15 days.
The alleged copy will be attached to the notification of the show,” said Bharat Chandra Narah , MLA and Chair of the Discipline Action Committee.
