New Delhi: India has reserved its response to the announcement of the Australian-UK-US Trilateral Security Partnership, but New Delhi may have a reason to be optimistic about the latest developments in global security.
Trilateral security will be a big message for China.
Most importantly, it will add to the global effort to balance China in this region.
This will add Australian defense capabilities, which have graduated to become one of the closer Indian strategic partners in the Indo-Pacific.
Second, new trilateral is likely to add quad capabilities, where both the US and Australia are members.
The aucus will see Australia accessing nuclear submarines for the first time, increasing the results for defense at the Indo-Pacific.
Quad is not a grouping of security, so this brings adjunct security for a quad which is diplomatic outreach to the Indo-Pacific by four democracies.
For now, Quad and the aukus will move on parallel lanes, with the possibility that in the future, both can join.
Australian PM, Scott Morrison Tweeted, “Today, Australia began a trilateral security partnership that was enhanced with the United Kingdom and the US to allow deeper cooperation in security and defense capabilities.
This is a historic opportunity for our countries to strengthen our country’s security at A period of uncertain This is a good investment.
“French wrinkles from bad blood produced between Australia and France, two major Indian partners in the Indo-Pacific.
France has signed a $ 40 billion deal to supply submarines to Australia in 2016.
Now Australia has canceled the agreement, leaving with England and the US to build a nuclear submarine.
France is sick with the US and Australia.
This might affect the Trilateral India-Australia-France for now, even though the reason for the trilateral remained as strong as before.
