Weekend Effects that usually encourage cases at the national level can also be seen in Kerala where everyday cases increased from 25,772 reported on Tuesday to 30,196 on Wednesday.
The seven days of the average case decreased from 28.009 reported on Tuesday to 27,637 cases for Wednesday.
Overall, the number of Kerala 30,196 cases was the highest in the country for Wednesday and followed by Maharashtra (4,174 cases).
The case count was 1,587 for Tamil Nadu, 1,361 for Andhra Pradesh, 1,214 for Mizoram and 1,102 for Karnataka.
The count is 427 for Assam, 329 for Telangana, and 268 for Manipur.
On Wednesday, 181 people surrendered to Covid or related complications in Kerala.
It was followed by Maharashtra where the virus claims 65 lives.
