New Delhi: For the first time in 14 days, Covid-19’s daily cases in India decreased on Monday due to lower testing and detection during the weekend but the death of the virus continued to creep.
India has recorded 1,66,497 new Coronavirus cases on Monday, with data from Tripura not yet available to almost midnight.
The case Monday is expected to be 7.5% lower than the previous day’s calculation of 1,80,078, according to the Covid Toi database.
This results came out of a 14% decline on Sunday compared to the previous day.

Maharashtra reported 33,470 new cases on Monday, a 25% decrease from the previous day 44,388.
Mumbai registers 13,648 cases, bulk 30% below the previous day because the number of cases in the city goes down for the third day running.

The addition of 19,780 new cases beat before 15,014 was reported only the day before.
While the death of Laton Daily also fell in Bengal (19,286 of 24,287 on Sunday), Delhi (19,166 of 22,751), Kerala (5,797 of 6,238), Andhra Pradesh (984 of 1,257).
Other countries where numbers are marginally dipped including Karnataka, Gujarat, Bihar and Uttarakhand.
However, cases continued to increase in several other countries led by Assam, which saw daily numbers more than doubled to 2,198 from 988 on Sunday.
Other countries including Tamil Nadu (13,990 cases on Monday), Uttar Pradesh (8,334), Rajasthan (6,095), Haryana (5,736), Chhattisgarh (4,120) and Madhya Pradesh (2,317).
Kerala reported 19 new deaths from viruses followed by Delhi (17), Bengal (16), Tamil Nadu (11), Maharashtra (8), Punjab (7), Haryana and Uttarakhand (5).
Over the past few days, death has increased in Delhi, Bengal, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, and Mizoram, regardless of several others.
