The backlog case surged in the Consumer Court of West Bengal

Kolkata: Sustainable uncertainty over the resumption of work in Bengal Bengal Bengal, Consumer, Recovery Commission – or Consumer Court – which remains closed since May 15 has left several thousand lawyers and lawyers worried.
The closing of the APEX consumer court in the state also causes the effect of ripple in the district level court.
A senior officer said the country was trying to resolve logistics during a pandemic to get a court function.
“The court authority said that the court could not function without resolving logistical problems in this pandemic situation,” said a department officer.
Toi contacted Gadhadhar Chatterjee, a court registrator, who declined to comment.
The commission, which functions under the State Consumer Affairs Department, is almost not operated last year due to locking.
This year, it began to function, only to be closed because of the second wave of Covid-19.
Thousands of outstanding people, mostly related to real estate projects, are at the end of this deadly receiver.
“After the Supreme Court said the Bengal Bengal Housing Industrial Regulatory Authority (Hira) was not constitutional, all real-estate cases returned to this commission, which could handle cases worth 10 lakh to RS 1 Crore,” said Prabir Basu, a consumer legal expert leading.
In all countries, real estate laws (regulation & development), 2016, are effective in handling real estate cases.
Hira is modeled in Rera.
But the Supreme Court has decided that real estate regulations that are separate western Bengal are disgusting for the Central Government Real Estate (Regulation & Development), 2016, and not constitutional.
Unless the new Rera court exists, real estate consumers have no other place than this consumer court to seek compensation.
In Bengal, like other places, the highest number of consumers wrestles with problems such as do not submit the apartment to buyers despite making a payment of 90%, selling one apartment to several buyers, selling apartments fully of the promised.
“Now, the majority of these complaints remain unresolved.
The basic rights of men to take refuge are compromised,” said H Brahmachari, president of the Consumer Bar Court Association.
“I met court officials and wrote to the President of the Commission appeal to continue the court function without delay.
Serious closure endangers the interest of thousands of consumers who often reject their basic rights as consumers by the seller of the product, whether it’s a real estate property or service.
Three spaces The court at this state-level commission was almost 200 cases a day, but only a third of them could be heard.
Just imagine the case backlog, “Brahmachari said.
