Jaipur: The District Consumer Forum has called Bank Service Error because it does not send a message withdrawal from an account on a registered cellphone.
The forum has gave orders to the bank to restore the amount drawn by cyber criminals with nine percent interest.
The forum has been ordered to pay Rs 15,000 to cause mental suffering and RS 10,000 for expenditure on expenditure.
Shriram Meena, a resident of Malviya Nagar, filed a complaint in the consumer forum which said that he had an account at SBI Bank and had been given a messaging message alert about the withdrawal of his registered cellphone number.
Between April 9 and April 13, Rs 1.28 lakh was withdrawn from his account with fraud.
He got a message during withdrawal only on the morning of April 13.
He then went to the bank and recognized shopping online cheating from the account.
However, due to transaction failure, Rs 42,525 was saved back to the account but he suffered a loss of Rs 86,275 which was a bank mistake.
The bank in the answer said that the debit card from the complainant has been used on the post machine where OTP is not produced.
Forum considering that service errors direct the bank to return RS 86,275 with nine percent interest from the date of filing complaints.
Along with this, the Commission has asked to pay Rs 25,000 for the cost of mental suffering and complaints.
