The best buyer in the gem portal for the third year in a row

Lucknow: For the third time in a row, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the upper state for the purchase carried out on the Government Permata Portal.
With the purchase of RS 4,611 Crore at 2020-21, rising first, followed by Gujarat who had purchased Rs 1,872 Crore from the portal.
A government spokesman said that in 2018, up was given award for the best buyers while in 2019, it was given as a super buyer.
The award was received by the addition of the Secretary of the Head (MSME) Navneet Sehgal on behalf of the state government during a two-day concrete match organized by CII in the national public procurement to mark the fifth year of Permata Portal.
“Transparency in the Government Procurement is a priority for the government today.
Through the Permata Portal, we have managed to curb corruption thousands of crores.
There are 12,672 buyers in the portal, along with 98,552 sellers who are 61,809 from the MSME sector.
These industries have resulted in more than 2 , 25 lakh work directly and indirectly, “said Sehagal.
Sehgal said that the government department had provided 5,61,196 orders worth Rs 12,765 Crore for more than the last four years.
A government spokesman said that in 2017-18, the government department made a purchase of Rs 602 Crore, worth RS 1,674 in 2018-19, Rs 2,401 in 2019-20 and Rs 4,675 at 2020-21.
In 2021-22 until now, the purchase of RS 3,363 Crore has been made.
