Lucknow / Prayagraj: Register a 10% leap in the percentage of graduating 10th grade students – from 89.1% at 2020 to 99.19% this year – Prayagraj region outperformed the Delhi West / East and Noida region.
While Delhi West / East has a percentage of pass 98.7% and 97.8%, respectively, registered Noida 98.8%.
Bihar surged ahead with 99.66%.
Overall, Trivandrum (99.99%), Bengaluru (99.96%) and Chennai (99.94%) are the top three players in terms of percentage of graduation.
Prayagraj region, which includes CBSE affiliated schools from the center and east to the top, stands 12 among the 16 regions, according to the results announced by the Secondary Education Council (CBSE).
Lucknow emerged as the best performing district under Prayagraj region with 99.64% of students (99.7% of girls and 99.6% of boys) declared successful.
Lucknow was followed by Gorakhpur (99.55%) and Prayagraj (99.52%).
The percentage of the Kanpur pass and Varanasi reached 99.3%.
In the Prayagraj region, girls once again outperformed boys.
While 99.37% of girls passed this year’s exam as against 90.9% last year, 99.09% of boys cleared the examination compared to last year 88.1%.
In accordance with the data distributed by the Prayagraj CBSE regional office, a total of 1,97,023 candidates from 1,971 schools from 52 countries have registered for the exam.
The CBSE regional officer, Shweta Arora said 99.19% of students were declared successful.
“Except Gorakhpur, girls have performed better than boys in five districts,” Arora said, added that in Gorakhpur, 99.6% of boys were legalized compared to 99.3% of girls.
