Nagpur: A number of Maoists armed in a lower ranking struggling to death on Saturday, trying in vain to protect members of the Central Committee (CC) Milind Teltumde, who brought RS50 Lakh’s prize and had more than 63 violations of it.
Their last stand in the Mardintola forest in Dhanora’s subdivision, near the border of Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh, also helped several other top cadres escape.
Teltumde, responsible for the Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh zone, is between 26 Maoists who were killed.
Among the dead, six were women, including Vimla aka Imla, who was Teltumde’s bodyguard.
The other from his bodyguard, Bhagatsingh was also found dead.

Sources from the District Police said the top cadres, such as members of the Sukhpal Parcheki Divisional Committee and Dandakyarya, members of the Special Zonal Committee Prabhakar, also, may be present at the location of the meeting, but managed to sneak in the midst of a heavy shooting.
