The best Maoist leader killed by command

Nagpur: A number of Maoists armed in a lower ranking struggling to death on Saturday, trying in vain to protect members of the Central Committee (CC) Milind Teltumde, who brought RS50 Lakh’s prize and had more than 63 violations of it.
Their last stand in the Mardintola forest in Dhanora’s subdivision, near the border of Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh, also helped several other top cadres escape.
Teltumde, responsible for the Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh zone, is between 26 Maoists who were killed.
Among the dead, six were women, including Vimla aka Imla, who was Teltumde’s bodyguard.
The other from his bodyguard, Bhagatsingh was also found dead.
Intermittent blackouts, including heavy shooting unprecedented from both sides at times, lasted for almost 10 hours, it was studied.
Four C60 Jawan was injured at the meeting, but their condition was studied to be stable now.
On Sunday, SP Ankit Goyal confirmed Teltumde’s death after he was identified according to the operating procedure of the police standards (SOP) by Maois who surrendered at the police headquarters.
“We have told Teltumde’s wife (Angela Sontakey) about her death, but she hasn’t arrived to take the body,” said Goyal.
About 29 weapons, including five AK-47, one AKM with a barrel grenade launcher, three instinctball rifles, and one pistol confiscated from the meeting site with C60.
Explosives and daily use materials are also confiscated.
Sources from the District Police said the top cadres, such as members of the Sukhpal Parcheki Divisional Committee and Dandakyarya, members of the Special Zonal Committee Prabhakar, also, may be present at the location of the meeting, but managed to sneak in the midst of a heavy shooting.
The source said the C60, who started the operation a day ago, has encircled the Hillock and forested region in several layers, and puts the airbade to connect the outgoing route.
While the field of hilly and rocky from wooded stretches helps leaders and cadres over fled even though there are rain bullets, Teltumde is trapped on the hill.
The source said the C60 command was initially stunned by an unknown serious shooting style of Maois, which was known to be very economical with ammunition.
“The experienced C-60 command feels something different in the volume of shooting, and realizes the rebels seems to protect someone who is very important,” said a source.
