New Delhi: With the world witnessed significant changes, Indian relations with Israel had become more significant, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
Speaking at the 30th anniversary of the formation of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Modi said it was the best time now to set new goals in relationships.
“Today is concerned with our relationship because full diplomatic bonds are determined between the two countries 30 years ago.
The new chapter between the two countries has begun.
It is a new chapter but history between us old age,” said PM.
“For centuries, the Jewish community has lived in India in a harmonious environment without discrimination and has grown.
This has made an important contribution in our development journey,” he added.
In a special video message on that occasion, Modi said Indians and Israel always shared special relationships.
“There cannot be a better chance than now to set new goals to work together when India marks 75 years of independence, Israel will mark 75 years of independence next year and both countries mark their 30 years of their diplomatic bonds,” Modi said.
“On this important milestone 30 years, I congratulate everything.
I am sure that India-Israel’s friendship will continue to set new records about reciprocal cooperation in decades to come,” Prime Minister said.
