Patna: Bihar Foundation, a registered community under the Industrial Department, has submitted 257 oxygen concentrators (each of which has a 10-liter capacity) to the Ministry of Health on Monday.
The State Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain symbolically handed over the concentrator to the Minister of Health Mangal Pandey through a virtual meeting organized by the foundation.
Shahnawaz addressed Pandey as a Korona soldier and said the work carried out by the Ministry of Health under his leadership during the Pandemic Coronavirus was very commendable.
“When the first wave and second Covid-19 came, the state health system was not ready to face the situation, but the work carried out by the Ministry of Health under the leadership of CM Nith Kumar needed to be appreciated.
Therefore, we can now deal with the possibility of the third wave of Coronavirus,” Shahnawaz said.
The Minister of Health, while expressing his gratitude to all donors, including the Industrial Department and the Department of Disaster Management, said that assistance material would be sent to Bihar & Infrastructure Corporation Limited (BMSICL) medical services.
Pandey said all additional primary health centers will be given each oxygen concentrator.
“Apart from this, 1,600 hospitals are planned to be built in the state to strengthen health infrastructure in Bihar.
This work is also done in the direction of increasing skilled workers in the health sector,” he said, adding that all the donated oxygen concentrators will be submitted to Health and information facilities will be available for donors.
Srivastava Hospital, CEO, Bihar Foundation, said so far 846 oxygen concentrators, 25,000 masks N-95, 225 oximeters pulse, 175 oxygen cylinders and 217 oxygen flowmeters have been submitted to the State Government.
“In addition, the cryogenic container with a capacity of 20 MT has also received from various donors,” he said.
