BiharSharif: Bihar Police Academy (BPA), Rajgir has received the United States Minister’s Cup for the best police training institution in the East Zone for 2020-21.
The Academy has received an award in the Non-Losted officer category.
“The coveted awards have been given to BPA for excellent training programs and environmentally friendly infrastructure among other aspects,” said Natasha Gudia, Deputy Director, BPA, Rajgir.
One of the youngest police academies, BPA was inaugurated by Minister of Minister Nith Kumar in December 2018 and had the capacity to train 2,000 different ranking officers simultaneously.
As per the statement issued by the Police Headquarters Bihar, BPA has so far trained 2,131 police sub-section, eight excise sub-supervisors, 164 police deputy supervisors and 23 IPS officers.
At present, 45 DSP ranking officers are undergoing training and 2,277 officers and police rank sub-inspectors are expected to join training at the Academy.
“This is caused by the selection of competent instructors and made the quality of national level training left by BPA behind the 100-year-old police training academy in West Bengal in just three years and pocketed the best institutional award for the training of the police deputy supervisor (DSPS),” Natasha said.
The first sophisticated police academy in Bihar in Rajgir was built on a campus area of ​​133.28 hectares of land near the Nalanda University Building on Jalan Rajgir-Chhabilapur with expenses around Rs 290 Crore.
Various facilities in BPA include two broad reasons, swimming pools, stadiums, sewerage processing plants, solar plants, wind and bio-gas, CFL units, elementary schools, hospitals, driving and horseback riding, solid waste management factories, libraries, gyms, and female cells.
