Jaipur: Children who give birth in hospitals and other medical companies have dropped slightly in the state in 2020-21 compared to 2019-20.
Of the 33 districts, 20 has reported a decline in institutional administration over the past 12 months.
In Jaipur, institutional delivery has dropped dramatically up to 15% in a year.
The health department official said it could be a Covid impact, which has thrown a normal life of the equipment and reduces the number of births of children in state health institutions.
According to the figures of the Ministry of Health, the 13.2-lakh institutional administration was reported in 2020-21, while 13.5 lakh in 2019-20.
In Jaipur, 1,08,806 children were born in health institutions in 2020-21, while 1,28,022 in 2019-20.
“In 2020-21, Covid affected the delivery of institutions.
We are now doing outreach activities throughout the country that focuses on the area that reported the reduction in institutional delivery,” said Dr.
Laxman Singh Ola, Director, Reproduction and Child Health, Ministry of Health.
In 2019-20, the state has reached 85.4% of the expected level of achievement in the delivery of institutions, but dropped to 80.4%, with a reduction of 5%.
Hospital Zanana Jaipur and Mahila Chikitsalaya have also reported shipping reduction.
“Compared to 2019-20, fewer pregnant women appear for delivery.
It could be because many couples give up the idea of being pregnant for fear of Covid,” said Dr.
Shalini Rathore, responsible (Covid), Mahila Chikitsalaya.
According to the Ministry of Health’s report, Jaisalmer reported the lowest number of institutional delivery, namely 16,218 in 2020-21 compared to 16,756 in 2019-20.
In the city, institutional administration has dropped from 35,536 in 2019-20 to 31,686 in 2020-21, a decrease of 10.8%.
Rural areas of Jaipur (Jaipur-I) reported 15.3% of the decline in institutional administration, which was the highest in the state.
Ajmer also reported a 8.5% decline in institutional delivery in the previous financial year because Covid was down from 60,537 to 55,179.
In addition, not all districts report a decline in institutional administration, but 13 districts have reported an increase.
