Prayagraj: The mysterious death of two brothers and sisters, whose body was found lying on the Sungai Bantan bridge Monday night, triggered tensions in the Trans-Yamuna region of the Prayagraj district on Tuesday with local residents who demanded government compensation for the deceased.
While the police claimed that the three men were hit by a heavy vehicle that was not known quickly at the Bean River Bridge in Gajodharpur Village under the boundaries of the Kora Police Station on Monday night due to severe fog, the family member who died denied local police claims and demanded investigations high level into the incident.
Their family members confirmed that the three people left their homes on Monday night to raise money for their plants, killed and their bodies were thrown at the Bean River Bridge.
Irate locals did not allow the police to take the body for post-mortem.
However, when the senior police officer convinced them that only post-mortem would reveal the exact cause of death and convince members of their family’s actions, they allowed the body to be taken.
