“We have announced last month that pollution below the level of control certificate (PUC) will increase.
Since then, we have met the Senior Transportation Department official.
They told us that the country’s decision had not yet arrived.
We will advance with plans to raise interest rates from September 16 throughout Maharashtra, “said Sandeep Bhandare, the President of the Association.
According to the revision of the tariff, the PUC certificate for Twowheeler will cost RS100 from RS35 now, the Autorickshaws must pay RS150 from the previous RS90, Fourpheelers, running on gasoline, must pay RS90.
The four-wheel running in Diesel must pay RS300, instead of Rs 110 and heavy vehicles must pay RS400 against RS120.
“The problem is with the state government and there is no update on the same thing,” said the State Transportation Commissioner Avinash Dhakne to Ti.
Transportation Department officials have stated that PUC level can only be increased by permission from the department and every increase without consent will attract action.
