Thane: The day after two young men sank in the Pogaon area of Bhiwandi Taluka from the Thane Maharashtra district, their bodies were found on Thursday morning.
Yasim Shaikh (15) and Imran Khan (18) were in a pond to swim with two other friends on Wednesday at 18:10, the two children were immersed in deep waters.
After receiving information, the firefighting team along with the local police rushed to the place and began looking for the duo.
However, after two hours, rescue operations were stopped due to darkness.
Rajesh Pawar, Head of Fire Extinguisher Bhiwandi Fire Brigade said, “Our team on Thursday morning began a rescue operation where they found both the body”.
After the incident, the local Bhifandi rural police registered a report on an accidental death, and after Post Mortem, handed the duo’s body to their relatives.
