Thane: The body of an unknown man recovered from Retibunder Creek of Mumbra in the Thane Maharashtra district on Friday, said a citizenship official.
The body of a 30s man was found near Ganpati Visarja Ghats in Retibunder Creek, said Santosh Kadam, head of regional disaster management cells (RDMC).
The fire extinguisher and the local RDMC team took out the body, which was then handed over to Kalwa police and sent for post-mortem, he said.
Cases of accidental death have been registered in this matter and the investigation is underway, a police officer said.
