Pune: The damaged path that leads to the main building of the Pune train station has become a big problem for passengers, especially during the rainy season.
With a hole that appears in many places and muddy spots here and there, passengers traveling with heavy luggage facing great difficulties when entering and out of the station every day.

Many times, taxis, and becak automatically dropped passengers outside the station building, forcing them to walk to the station with their luggage.
It becomes impossible for them to walk into the road conditions.

Manoj Jhawar, Public Relations official, Pune Rail Division, said that letters have been sent to the Indian Corporation Limited train station (IRSDC) to repair the path.
A train official said on Wednesday that the IRSDC had started a patch work on a broken track.
The path to the second entry used by passengers to enter the platform number 6 is also in bad condition.
“On the one hand, there is a sophisticated station such as Gandhinagar and on the other hand, there is a Pune station, which, despite being a legacy building, has a fundamental problem.

Pune station facility management was handed over to IRSDC in 2019.
IRSDC appointed a private company, Bharat Vikas Group (BVG), for the work.

There are many passengers who take the PMPML bus and walk to the station building on the damaged track is a problem,” said a driver of the Autorickshaw.
An IRSDC official said that the route was a concern.
“We have several plans, but things have taken the back seat because of a pandemic,” the official said.
