The bus falls into a ditch in Barabanki, 2 dead

Lucknow: Two people were killed while 24 others were injured when the UPSRTC bus was upside down and fell into a ditch in Barabanki Uttar Pradesh on Monday afternoon.
The bus traveled from Gonda to Lucknow and took passengers from Sitapur, Balrampur, Ramnagar, Gonda, and Shraverti.
The deceased was identified as Brijesh Tripathi, 30, from Balrampur and Narendra Kumar, 33, from Sitapur.
Injury was treated at the Barbanki District Hospital.
The police said the bus had 30 passengers.
It was on the Gonda-Barbanki highway around 2pm when the bus driver tried to follow a small train van.
However, because the bus accelerates the driver loses control over the steering wheel and vehicle upside down and falls into a trench in 15 feet.
Pedestrians and locals hurried to save passengers and notify the police.
Police supervisors, Barabanki, Fortress Anurag, said the body of two men was pulled out of the damaged bus.
Some passengers, who suffered minor injuries were provided by first aid and sent home in another vehicle, he said.
“A pine is being registered and we look into every aspect, while the UPSRTC will check the bus fitness,” SP said.
Safe Gupta, 27 and his wife Shweta, 23, and Son Vasu 2, also hurt.
He told the Toi: “Suddenly there was a jerk.
Vasu was thrown at the bus floor while I also fell on the floor while my wife’s head hit the front seat leaving him unconscious,” he said.
