The cabinet approved two posts of each judiciary, administrative members in the cat bench at Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir have got two benches separate from the Central Administrative Tribunal (Cat), with a cabinet on Wednesday approved creation 2 posts Judicial members and 2 posts administrative members for benches in Jammu and Srinagar.
It will serve all UTS employees from J & K and Ladakh.
Cats have functions since 1985 as an effective mechanism for recovery of disputes arising from government employee services issues.
At present it has 17 benches, regardless of newly established benches in Jammu and Srinagar, with several benches that serve several states / UTS.
After the abrogation of article 370, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are two separate union regions.
Like disputes related to the issue of J & K government services and Ladakh government employees must now be decided by paint.
About 13,000 cases have been transferred to cats from the Jammu and Kashmir High Court and the Department of Expenditure have approved a proposal for post-creation and support staff.
Annual expenditure around RS 1.03 Crore has been estimated on two new cat benches at J & K.
Source said the posts of Judicial members and administrative members on the Jammu and Srinagar will be immediately filled to make it functional.
“This will provide quick and affordable justice for UTS employees from J & K and Ladakh.
Welcoming two new cat benches for J & K and Ladakh, State Minister for Personnel Jitendra Singh on Wednesday down to Twitter to thank the Prime Minister Narendra for the cabinet decision, said that “this will be a big assistance and comfort for government employees”.
