Thiruvananthapuram: The Country Cabinet on Wednesday decided to give permission to investigate alertness to the leader of the senior Congress and former Minister of Rights Aryadan Mohammed on charges of grafts raised by the Saritha S case was accused.
The alert and anti-corruption bureau has completed an initial inquiry on charges of Saritha who has received Rs 40 Lakh as a bribe from him by promising the road and opportunity to establish a solar power unit.
However, Aryadan became a former minister, vigilance needed the opening and approval of the government from the Governor of State.
Saritha had claimed before the solar commission he had given Rs 1.90 Crore to the former Chief of the Oommen Minister Chandy’s Aide Thomas Kuruvila.
According to him, he met Aryadan for Chandy’s instructions and submitted Rs 40 lakh to him in two installments.
Based on probe introduction, the cabinet has decided to recommend the governor to provide prosecution sanctions.
